Ukulele Wednesdays is 9. Come Wish The Old Girl A Happy Birthday!

See You Tonight?

Celebrate, and play some new songs!
Hello,

See you tonight? Are you coming to the Albany for a strum tonight? Grab yourself an interim songbook as we’ve been trialling songs from there over the last few months. See which ones you enjoy strumming along in a group with a pint in your hand! Don’t forget about the Royal George and the Duke in E17, which have also has had great times trialling the interim songbook (thanks to Tim Jefford for printing the extra copies out for people at the George) and lively nights, with more new people coming along. Come and join in!

Want to add songs? We’re nearing the end of this interim songbook. The ones that worked will go into the main book update in the next few weeks. If there are any songs you really wish that 50+ ukulele players would join you in strumming, and you’d like those songs to make the next songbook, you could tab them, and bring copies along to the Albany, George or the Castle to try them out with a group. If they work, they go in. Simples! Here’s where you find the tabbing template, and all other info. If we cajole each other into doing it, it will make doing the work less tedious. I hope.

Strum with you soon!

PS:
Know any more ukulele playing friends in London? Loads of people aren’t on the email list. For things like this, it’s handy, and getting the news in your inbox on email could save you an inconvenience of going to the wrong venue one week. Please make sure everyone you know is signed up so the news comes straight to yours and their inbox rather than in a social post that you might miss. Perhaps you could forward this email on to let your ukulele jamming friends know about this email list so that they can also join and know straight away if there are important updates like this in the future? Many thanks and look forward to strumming with you.
PPS:
If you’re not into email, there’s always FB or twitter, so sorry for any repetition. Look forward to strumming with you!
