More info here.

PS:
Know any more ukulele playing friends in London? Loads of people aren’t on the email list. For things like this, it’s handy, getting the news in your inbox on email could save you an inconvenience of going to the wrong venue. Please make sure everyone you know is signed up so the news comes straight to yours and their inbox rather than in a social post that you might miss. Perhaps you could forward this email on to let your ukulele jamming friends know about this email list so that they can also join and know straight away if there are important updates like this in the future? Many thanks and look forward to strumming with you.
PPS:
If you’re not into email, there’s always FB or twitter, so sorry for any repetition. Look forward to strumming with you!

NO Uke-ing At the Albany Tomorrow (2 Sept 2015)

The George and Castle Strum as Usual!

I’m sorry to say that the Albany have taken a wedding booking for tomorrow night, Wednesday 2 September. I’ve been told that the 9th will be back on as usual.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and I look forward to strumming with you very soon!

Play a Gig in Dalston on Saturday night. THIS Saturday!

No Coward Souls

If you were there last night, you’ll have seen our very own Egg come along with her bandmate from No Coward Soul show us how to play their original song, ‘On My Way’. If you weren’t there and you’d like to join them in playing on Saturday, here’s the audio and here’s the chords:

On My Way - No Coward Souls

They’ll be at the Dalston Vic, 451 Queensbridge Road, London E8 3AS from 8pm on Saturday. There are a bunch of other up and coming bands to check out, so do go along with your ukulele and join No Coward Soul!

Fang’s Funeral and Party.

Fang Fang
It is with great sadness that I write this. I waited for a while as, frankly, I didn’t really know what to say. Our friend, the wonderful, inimitable ukulele legend, Fang has passed away. Watch him playing here
Lesley & Philly Phil have been wonderful with Fang and have taken care of his affairs and have also arranged his funeral. It will be an eco funeral, so no flowers but charity donations will be welcome, Lesley will post details when they are ready. If anyone would like to come along and pay their respects to Fang, (as Rufus said, give him a bloody good send off) here’s the details. Hope to see some of you there.

Al Fresco Ukulele Wednesdays – St James’s Park… (The George will still be strumming if you prefer a pub vibe)

Hopefully, you’re already a member of the Ukulele Wednesdays group on Facebook. If not, here’s the Facebook event with a map and EVERYTHING to show you where to come.

In case that doesn’t work, here’s some pictorial help:

Basically, we’ll be near to the tree on the south east side of the bridge… Look out for the ukuleles.

See you there!
